Fund-Raising for a Special Project
Our CEO, Rita Chadha is taking on the 100km Thames Path Challenge over the weekend of 9th/10th September to raising £1,000 to fund a special project that will train young people as volunteers and provide advice to the most vulnerable young people in the area.
Citizens Advice provides free, independent and confidential advice to anyone seeking help and assistance and in the past year, Broxbourne has helped over 3,000 people in the community, dealing over 10,000 different types of issues covering debt and financial management, housing, benefits and consumer rights queries as well as relationship problems and assisting those with mental health concerns.
Commenting on her participation Rita said, “So often, good, quality advice services are taken for granted. At a time when more people than ever have started to use our service, I am fundraising for this specific project so that we can support the young and the most vulnerable in society.”
